Just realized that I haven't posted here in a while. This is mostly because I haven't played any badminton in weeks. The group I used to play with on Sundays seems to have dissolved, and I haven't found any other place to go so that's why I haven't been writing stuff. As for JP, the reason he hasn't been posting is the exact opposite of mine: he is too busy playing and coaching badminton. But worry not, this blog is a long way from being abandoned. I'll definitely start posting again once I find a place and a group of people to play with.— TJ

新年元旦节放假在家，有时间完成另一篇羽毛球技术文章。题为
《它山之石可以攻玉》
羽毛球运动是一项别具一格的运动。它与网球、乒乓球有不少相似的地方，但其击球技术又十分独特，从接发球到平抽打，从拉高远球到吊放网、从点杀、劈杀、重力扣杀到接杀和挡放网、从网前搓放小球到勾放对角球等等，都自成体系。从而形成了有别与其他的球类的一种运动。然而，羽毛球还是可以从其它使用拍弦球类运动中移植许多特别的击球技术，同时也能从其它运动中获得另类的击球技巧，从而更丰富羽毛球的打法，更增进羽毛球的比赛竞技。常言道：它山之石可以攻玉。

Another year has (almost) passed us by, and I didn't realize that this blog became one year old about three months ago. I guess this goes to show how busy I was during my school term, but at least I posted every so often. JP has been pretty busy as well with both work and badminton. He has now gotten official coaching certification and has already recruited several students. I, on the other hand, haven't played any badminton since the end of November, and I don't know when I will start playing again. Well currently neither JP and I are playing any badminton these days. First of all it's the holiday season, and second of all the snow that's everywhere makes moving around a chore. Almost all of Canada got hit with a cold spell and our region wasn't exempt to it. We received the highest amount of snowfall seen in 12 years, and there just aren't enough snow plows and salt/sand trucks to clear the roads, so the best thing to do during these days is to stay home. Anyways, I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season, and thank you to all who visited this website.

School has started for me once again, and due to the workload from my program I don't have much time to play badminton anymore. I still go to the Sunday session if I have the time, but I didn't go today because of assignments. I will likely join my university's badminton club so I can get some exercise in, but I'm still thinking about it, again due to the amount of assignments and studying I have to do. Meanwhile, JP is still playing a lot of badminton and giving lessons, but he is busy with other things. He promises that he will start posting soon, so you guys can all look forward to that.— TJ

欢迎您到 JP’s Badminton Blog。以后 JP 会把有些关于羽毛球的故事和经验写到这网记里。这个 Blog 里的文章一般不会太长。长的文章还是会放到 JP’s 羽毛球通道 网站。我有时候也会发表一些文章，不过我会用英文发表，因为我的中文不太好。
Welcome to JP’s Badminton Blog. This is where JP will post some of his badminton stories and game experiences. Most of these posts will be fairly short as the longer articles will be posted on JP’s Badminton Portal website. As JP doesn’t write very well in English, his posts will be predominately in Simplified Chinese. I myself will also contribute a few posts here and there with my badminton experiences, but I will write in English as my written Chinese has become spotty over the years.
